My family moved out of Mexico when I was 2 years old. We went back for the first time when I was 7, and since then I've gone back around 8 times {i think}, the most recent being a few weeks ago! That's where I'm from, that's where my mom is from, and that's probably the only other place I'll ever call home other than California.
This trip, Chreston couldn't come with me so I decided to record daily vlogs and put them on YouTube so I could share my trip with him. I didn't take too many pictures, here are some that I did capture:
This is my hometown. Right smack in the middle of the country of Mexico. |
My future tattoo...this is an art piece by Jose Guadalupe Posada, a famous political artist from Aguascalientes. |
Aguascalientes is known the "Cerro Del Muerto"...meaning Dead Man's Hill. Notice the shape it makes?? |
Where my grandpa was laid to rest. |
This family's tomb. My grandpa is the only one buried there so far. |
Found these at the cemetary. Beautiful and creepy at the same time. |
You'll find churches every other block in Mexico. This particular one is tiny and it's extra special because it's where my parents got married. |
Another church. Gorgeous. |
In front of the Jose G. Posada Museum...another church. |
El Cristo Roto. Google it :) |
No trip to Aguascalientes is complete without a trip to our favorite market for chocolate shakes. Delicious! |
I love random abandoned-looking places. This one is in the middle of the street where my grandma lives. |
We had the opportunity to be here for Jan 6, AKA Dia de los Reyes Magos. |
My 2nd favorite place in Aguascalients {the first being my grandma's house}, this is called the Plaza Patria. That statue in the middle geographically marks the middle of the entire nation. Cool, eh? |
And here is the link to my YouTube page, in case anyone wants to see the daily adventures {some days were really boring because the rain kept us inside my grandma's house}.
videos here :)
again nice documentation :)
