I've always liked the idea of drawing. I took a class in high school and wasn't the worst in the class, but I didn't find any divine inspiration either. The most I've dabbled as far as art is doodling in class and fawning over pictures on Pinterest and Tumblr. Last year my sister left for the Peace Corps, and she left behind almost all of her belongings. I got left a few of her possessions {computer monitor, beauty supplies, foam mattress topper}, but my favorite and recently-discovered has been her box of paints and this huge blank canvas.  I originally thought I'd do something with zebra print. Then I thought something to do with sunflowers. Then I came across this picture: 

I've become obsessed. I don't know why but I'm in love with the combination of death + life {you should see my tattoos}...and I can't get this picture out of my head. I've been sketching ideas on how to make this my own:
